Vlada Dziuba, a Russian model who works in China, died on October 27 in a Shanghai hospital due to meningitis, the Life.ru portal reported, which ensures that extreme fatigue and overwork prevented your body could fight the virus.
After spending two days in a coma, the 14-year-old died. The doctors in charge established that the preliminary cause of death of the teenager was meningitis. However, authorities are awaiting autopsy results that will determine the exact causes of Vlada's death.
Before getting sick, the model from the Chinese agency ESEE had paraded at the Shanghai Fashion Week. It was during one of the parades that she passed out after suffering a strong fever.
The model's mother told Russian media, including the Komsomólskaya Pravda newspaper, that when she spoke to her daughter, she cried because she felt very tired after supposedly working 13 hours a day.
It was the mother who advised her to go to the doctor, but the contract that the young woman had signed did not provide her with health care.
The tragic outcome has prompted the Russian authorities to launch an investigation into the situation and conditions in which Russian models in China are working.
