The lettuce ladies are women activists of the organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), who want people to consume more plant products. In other words, they promote the vegan lifestyle.

The organization recently visited several countries, including Romania. The photos show how these PETA girls, dressed in bathing suits, offered vegetable sandwiches to people in the middle of the streets of Bucharest.
