A married Michigan mother was sentenced to prison for having sex with two teenagers she allegedly lured by sending them nude photos of her on Snapchat.

"It is what I regret the most in my life," said Brooke Lajiness, who has two children, at the court hearing held on Monday and in which she was sentenced to a prison sentence of a minimum of 4 years and 9 months, and a maximum of 15 years, according to the Michigan MLive news website.

"My family is everything to me and I have caused them a lot of pain because of the unfortunate decisions I made," added the 38-year-old mother, who pleaded guilty to several counts of criminal sexual conduct after confessing to having relationships with two boys from 14 and 15 years in his car last year.

Assistant Prosecutor John Vella asked the court for the harshest sentence on the grounds that Lajiness had hunted the minors by sending photos of him in the bathtub on Snapchat and practicing sexual acts.

Vella detracted from credibility in a letter from Lajiness's husband, who was present in the courtroom, in which he blamed his wife's situation on insomnia. It is her actions that have led her to this situation, the prosecutor warned.

In one of the most dramatic moments, a third person read a letter from the mother of one of the victims, in which she denounced the psychological consequences that her encounters with the convict had left her.

“You acted conscientiously on several occasions to agree to meet my son, run away from home, start your car, leave your husband and children at home, and drive to my son's father's house, park on the driveway between midnight and 4 am, wait for my son, commit a crime and leave, reads the text of the letter.

"Did you know this is wrong? Did you ever worry about the damage you did to my son?" Adds the letter from the mother, who said that the boy currently has to receive psychological treatment.
