Leiomy Maldonado, a transgender dancer of Puerto Rican origin, became the protagonist of a new campaign by the Nike brand that calls for fair treatment between people, regardless of their sexual orientation.

In the clip, the beautiful 30-year-old artist, also known as “Wonder Woman of Vogue”, appears showing some of her iconic movements that have inspired well-known choreographies by artists such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.

The Nike initiative is launched precisely in June, the month when gay pride is celebrated around the world. The campaign also comes accompanied by a collection of products called BE TRUE that includes T-shirts, sneakers and socks in which the recognized colors of the LBGT flag predominate.

According to information shared on the official website of the sports brand, this collection's main objective is to "empower all athletes to support initiatives that fight for the eradication of discrimination in sport."

In its efforts to promote inclusion, the firm would have invested more than LBGT.

BE TRUE is also part of a Nike sports line called Equality with which Nike shares a message of respect for diversity, which is why, in the past, distinguished athletes have participated in other campaigns emphasizing that there should be no barriers between people created by skin color, sexual inclination, place of origin, or religion.
