A married Pennsylvania pastor who sexually abused and impregnated a teenage girl who was fostered in his home was sentenced last Friday to between three and six years in prison.
According to the People's Prosecutor's Office, Pastor Jacob Malone was the guardian of the victim when he began abusing the child in the fall of 2014, abuses that lasted for a year.
The 35-year-old religious has pleaded guilty to institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of a minor, after he offered alcohol to the girl, authorities added.
During the process, the victim, who gave birth last year, claimed that Malone had taken advantage of her "mentally, physically and spiritually."
The pastor met the minor when she was 12 years old in a religious service in Mesa, Arizona, and began to insinuate himself when he invited her to stay with his family when he worked in Minnesota, the prosecution told People. The victim was then 17 years old.
