After the Puerto Rican journalist María Celeste Arrarás expressed her emotion when she saw that her work The Secret of Selena (Atria Books) would be brought to the screen in the form of a series, the sister of the late singer Selena Quintanilla, Suzette Quintanilla, turned to her networks social to express their anger.

"Many people perhaps thought that I was not going to say anything about it because I ran away from negativity but this is different, María Celeste you are rubbish and your book is based on lies," the young woman is heard saying in the video that the last Tuesday on his Instagram account.

“Your source is the person who killed my sister, who shot her in the back and left her to die. [The situation] makes me sick,”he added.

The series, based on the book that the host of Al Rojo Vivo published in 1997, will air soon on Telemundo in audiovisual format thanks to an agreement with Disney.

"The book is based on serious and meticulous research, but it was written with admiration and respect for Selena's memory," Arrarás said in an interview with People en Español.

María Celeste Arrarás responded this Wednesday to harsh criticism.
