If you're going to beat someone up, you better be empty-handed.
That seems to be the logic used by a woman who gave her baby to a stranger on a New York subway train while preparing to fight with "a bitch."
In a video taken by phone and shared on Twitter, you see a subway car full of passengers and you hear a woman say, apparently to someone on her cell phone, "I want to get off because I'm going to hit him, I'm going to hit him", without specifying who or why.
The man holding the angry woman's baby - whom the New York Post identifies as Javier Clemente, 19 - looks at the camera and says, "Hey, this is your baby," while also showing the baby dressed. in pink and doing theirs with his pacifier, next to his companion.
"The LOL video," Clemente wrote when mounting the images on his Twitter account. "Lady from the Bronx gives me her girl to hold her to fight with a bitch."
For better or for worse, the 15-second video that is triumphing on social networks ends without clarifying this mystery: was there a fight or not?
