The manager of a Burger King in Chillcothe, Ohio got the scare of his life when he discovered in the restaurant's bathroom that a woman had suffered a heroin overdose while giving birth.

Elizabeth D. Sanders, 26, was found unconscious and apparently did not even know she had given birth, according to local newspaper The Chillicothe Gazette.

The events occurred last Friday around 2:30 pm -local time- when the restaurant manager realized that the pregnant woman was taking too long in the toilet and decided to go inside to check if she was okay. In the toilet he discovered that there was blood everywhere and that the woman was sitting unconscious on the toilet with a ball of cocaine lying on the floor.

Immediately they called the paramedics who asked the woman to get up and there they discovered the body of the newborn with his face face down in the water but still breathing. When the woman was questioned, she said that she thought she had "aborted."

Miraculously the creature survived and was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover, according to local KTLA station.

In the restaurant car lot, authorities also discovered Zachary Fey, the woman's boyfriend, inside his car sitting behind the wheel, unconscious and with the engine still running.

Larry Bamfield, Chillcote Police Captain stated that the baby "is fine" but that the custody plans for the creature are unknown.

The baby's father was immediately arrested and taken to the Ross County Jail where he was charged with driving while intoxicated and with possession of drug paraphernalia.

For her part, the baby's mother pleaded guilty on Monday after she was charged with charges related to a robbery she previously committed while working as a waitress and whose arrest was pending.
