The mother of One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has passed away at 43 years old.
As confirmed by People, Tomlinson's mother has lost the battle against leukemia. "It is with great regret that the family of Johannah Deakin has said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday, December 7," the family announced in a statement.
“Earlier this year, Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia that required immediate and continued treatment. We respectfully ask for time and space so that the family can mourn the loss in private,”added the text.
“First of all, Johannah was an amazing mother of seven: Louis, Lottie, Félicité and two pairs of twins, Phoebe and Daisy, and Ernest and Doris; whose individual talents and successes are testament to the principles and beliefs that she instilled in them,”said Dan Deakin, husband of Johannah. "She was also an amazing grandmother to Louis's son Freddie."
Tomlinson and his mother were very close, so the arrival of her grandson filled her with joy. The singer became a father almost a year ago when his ex-girlfriend Briana Jungwirth gave birth to their son.
"My mother looking amazing before the BRITS earlier this year," the singer wrote in an Instagram post on November 18. "I love you and I miss you so much"
