After presenting several collections in collaboration with the sportswear brand Fabletics, the singer Demi Lovato, launches a new summer line that you are going to want to debut now … even if you have not stepped in the gym in a month. Getting fit for summer has never been so appetizing!
What inspired you to create this collection?
The collection is inspired by my life on tour and in particular on the latest world tour, Tell me you Love Me. During those months I am constantly moving and having to adapt to schedules that change all the time, different cities and continue with my daily routine. I like to maintain my rituals of health and well-being and I like to wear a style in which I can trust and with whom I feel comfortable and sure of myself and also some pieces that are more daring and that attract attention.
What is your style offstage like when you're on tour?
It varies a lot depending on the occasion, but usually when I'm not acting I like to relax and be comfortable. I love my high waist leggings and casual sweatshirts for days like that, but of course I'll dress up and put on heels if the occasion calls for it.
How do you stay in shape now or before you embark on a tour?
I change [my routines] all the time, but I include everything from walking my dogs to boxing classes, pilates, high-intensity cardiovascular exercise, circuit training, or swimming if there's a pool at the hotel.
What is your best advice for women who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle?
I think commitment and consistency are important [and also having] a support system in your family and friends, that you can count on, especially in more busy or stressful stages.
What do you do to relax and feel more focused on your day to day?
The most important thing for me is to do something, whether big or small, that makes me feel good every day and gives me energy because being on tour is very tiring even though it is very stimulating and rewarding. Although it is to reserve 20 minutes for myself and to reset myself before acting, which is quite a training in itself.
