This is how the Colombian actress takes care of herself to have an enviable face.

The long-awaited series José José, the Prince of Song, premiered with great success on Telemundo. And it is that the life of the beloved Mexican singer is worth telling. The series has excellent actors, including the beautiful Colombian actress María Fernanda Yepes, who plays the character of Anel Noreña, the interpreter's first wife and mother of her two oldest children. For this, the Colombian had to undergo a great transformation. We spoke with her so that she could tell us about her interesting character, as well as her beauty routine and those products that cannot be missing from her toiletry bag.

How do you feel about being part of this project?

For me it is an honor to be part of this story, to tell the life of this great idol of the song in Mexico and in many countries where his music has transcended.

Tell us about your character and the importance of your role in the series

I play Anel Noreña, José José's wife for many years and mother of their two children. Anel is a woman who was, has been and will be very important in the singer's life. Perhaps the most representative woman in José José's life.

Did you have to go through a physical transformation to embody the character?

I have a strong characterization process to resemble her. They put on dark contact lenses, a red wig and in the most adult stage I will have a body transformation to see myself overweight. I have also transformed my voice. Let's say that I'm doing a voice characterization to achieve a similarity to Anel's.

Speaking of beauty, how do you define yours, are you vain or relaxed?

I am very relaxed, I like to take care of myself leading a healthy, balanced life. I exercise, I sleep strictly no less than 8 hours, I hydrate myself with water, but I don't do much makeup in my daily life, nor am I very produced. My style is relaxed, I am not a slave to beauty, I even find it difficult to take time to go to spas and beauty salons.

What is your beauty routine?

I always remove my makeup and clean my skin very well before bed, I hydrate it and use tonic. As for skin treatments, every 3 months I get my plasma, I also take hydrolyzed collagen every morning. [For the] hair I apply once a week a homemade herbal treatment that a lady prepares for me and my daily makeup is very basic, a bb cream, or colored sunscreen, a good blush, mascara and lip moisturizer.

What are some of the products you can't live without?

Facial Fuel, from kiehls, coconut body oil, Avene cleansing milk. I like them because I have adapted to them, they work for me and I feel good using them as part of my daily routine.

Which fashion or beauty icon do you admire and why?

As for beauty [I admire] Cate Blanchet. I love that woman. In addition to being one of my favorite actresses, I admire how she has managed to mature. As for fashion icon [I like] Iris Apfel. I love her irreverent character and her style that goes beyond fashions and times”

What is your style when it comes to dressing and which designers do you like?

[My style is] eclectic. I do not have a fixed style when it comes to dressing, one day I can be very basic and the other day very ornate. I love the unique pieces that I find in vintage stores and combine them with basic clothes. I love big earrings.

Do you have or have you had an Achilles heel in terms of beauty?

As for my body, yes. I wish I had had less bust

What is the best beauty advice you have been given?

[Have] self-esteem.
