Tracy Reese's Spring Performance

The Tracy Reese brand showcased its spring / summer 2017 collection in a magical and charming way during New York Fashion Week. Instead of displaying it on the traditional catwalk, the designer opted to host a garden party at noon. Upon entering there were rose petals in the grass, a quartet playing music and models lying on velvet armchairs. For the presentation Tracy decided to include a great diversity of types of women as models. Aside from the various body types, ethnicity, and age, she also chose women with different occupations. Dressed in feminine and floral ensembles among which they modeled were female philanthropists, dancers, actresses, artists, activists, models, among others.

The makeup, done by Luis Casco for Mary Kay, was inspired by flowers in a garden. She applied Mary Kay shades from the Mineral Eye Color collection in Iris and Precious Pink colors on the models' eyelids, putting the shades of pink in the center and purples in the corners of the eyes. "I was especially inspired by begonia," said Casco. He finished the look with layers of Mary Kay Lash Intensity mascara.

The parade turned out to be a joyous celebration of women's youth, diversity, and femininity. The public enjoyed watching the different models dance, paint, sing and pose in the sun, and all with a smile from ear to ear.
