December is not usually a busy month on television networks when it comes to premieres because viewers' habits tend to change with so many holidays. This year, however, both Univision and Telemundo have chosen the end of the year to release their new fictions. And curiously, both have chosen to do it the same day and at the same time, thus promoting a new duel for the audience in Hispanic prime time.

Telemundo will premiere this Monday, December 2 at 8 pm EST, this successful Turkish soap opera full of love, betrayal and intrigue that narrates the rise to power of 'Suleiman the Magnificent', one of the most important figures of the history of the Ottoman Empire, which took over one of the largest and most powerful empires at just 26 years old. During his conquest of the world, Suleiman will find himself in the middle of a power struggle between the two most influential people in his life, who will unleash a bloody game full of intrigue, conspiracy and death where the final victory will have a high price.

Univisión, meanwhile, will premiere the same day and at the same time this Mexican melodrama produced by Lucero Suárez.

The Televisa telenovela was recently broadcast this year with great audience success in Mexico and is starring the Mexican actor José Ron and Mariana Torres.

The melodrama tells the story of Ringo (Ron), a young man who has dedicated his life to boxing and who at the height of his career loses the national title upon receiving the news of his brother's death. From that moment on, Ringo decides to retire from boxing. Gloria, his wife, leaves him to go live with El Turco, Ringo's main rival in the ring.

Gloria's decision leaves Ringo alone in charge of the care of his son Santi. Later, Gloria will return to claim custody of her son, and in this situation, Ringo will have to obtain a job that provides him with a fixed income, to retain custody of his son. Therefore, he decides to box again with the clear goal of being crowned champion.
