Vivid colors, striking accessories and an international urban air have been the stars of the Spanish spring / summer 2016 show by Desigual at New York Fashion Week.

Versatile and multifunctional garments have paraded on the catwalk, such as shirts that transform into skirts, flattering dresses and incredible head decorations with touches of denim.

The earrings in the septum (partition that separates the nostrils) and a model parading while taking selfies revealed the presence of urban trends on the catwalk.

Barcelona has been the key to this latest collection, in which the brand's creatives have tried to transmit the city's independent, happy and energetic spirit, according to the company's spokesperson, Daniel Pérez.

The makeup, by Gordon Espinet for MAC PRO, was inspired by hipsters from the New York neighborhood of Williamsburg. The three keys to the look were the lips in a strong orange, a marked eye liner and perfect skin, as Espinet himself explains.

For their part, the protagonists of the hair have been the braids, the work of the stylist Edward Lampley for Amika, who looked at the modern young women of Japan to create this look.

The nails did not go unnoticed in this parade either. Keri Blair for MAC devised lining false nails with denim and decorating them with colored paper. Something that ensures that although impractical, it is easy to recreate at home.
