Ariana Grande fans are not entirely happy with her new Starbucks drink, because it is not vegan or vegan friendly.
People explains that last week the singer announced her partnership with the coffee company, as the brand's ambassador with a new drink: Cloud Macchiato. The note in the online version of the magazine indicates that Cloud Macchiato is prepared with espresso, a vanilla-flavored sirop, layered with foam and a few drops of caramel.
At first instance it sounds good. In addition, Ariana called herself a vegan in an interview she gave to the Mirror in 2013, to the point of saying that the reason that led her to this diet is because she loves animals more than people. So far everything seems to be going well.
Even Grande would have urged her fans to try the soy version of her drink. However, People explains that the singer apparently forgot that milk was not the only animal-derived product used to prepare it.
Poeple explains that "cloud powder" that is added to the foam that he uses for the drink, contains egg white powder, which gives it that thick consistency. In addition, People reports that the caramel drops added to it also have products derived from milk. What if a person asks to have it removed? You can do it, but without them People claims that the drink would become just a normal Macchiato.
A Twitter user, among others who do not consider the vegan drink, expressed: "how Ariana Grande is promoting the new Starbucks Cloud Macchiato drink when she is vegan, when the drink contains eggs and dairy."
