Coca-Cola will launch its first alcoholic drink.
The company founded in 1888, will present its first alcoholic drink on the market; specifically designed for Japan.
It is popularly known as "Chu-Hi". However, it is not what perhaps comes to your mind. It is not the same Coca-Cola turned into a cocktail drink. What does this drink contain? José Garduño, president of the commercial unit in that Asian country, indicated, in a document published on the company's website, that “it is a canned beverage that contains alcohol. Traditionally it is made from a distilled drink called shōchū, sparkling water in addition to flavorings.”
From the description, it appears to be a different drink. "Coca-Cola has focused entirely on non-alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and this is a modest experiment for a specific sector of our market," said the executive.
If you wanted to try it or at least compare its flavor, you should take a trip to Japan. The drink will not reach the market in the United States or Latin America, according to Scott Leith, spokesman for the review company USA Today.
Also, it is not yet known when the drink will be available in stores or supermarkets and the sale price has not been disclosed either. However, this is not the only innovative Coca-Cola product in Japan. USA Today reports that in the past the famous company launched the Coca-Cola plus drink that included fiber. Garduño indicated that in the Japanese market, the launch of a new drink is routine; They present at least 100 new producers a year.
