Without a doubt, 2017 was not an easy year for María Marín. In February, the motivator announced that she had breast cancer and the following month she underwent a double mastectomy. Today, about to end a thunderous cycle in her life, the Puerto Rican spoke exclusively with People in Spanish and told us about her New Year's resolutions. Doors wedding?

How do you close 2017?

This year I close it with a flourish, as I never thought I would close it. I started this year with fear, with uncertainty because I was diagnosed with cancer five days before Christmas. My past Christmases were sad and uncertain, so when I started this year I never and never thought it would end in the way I am closing. This year has been the hardest, the most scary, but I am closing with celebration, joy and more blessings. I went through three operations and as the months passed I was improving.

And professionally?

Also my dream was to have my own program and I am fulfilling it. In love I am enjoying better than ever. Next year I think I will enjoy it. I already decorated my house the first week of November. I put the tree before anyone else, because I said that this Christmas I was going to enjoy twice as much.

Doors wedding?

I know my boyfriend is the love of my life. And we're recovering from everything I've been through, but if there are any wedding plans you should ask him why I'm not a woman asking for marriage.

What are your New Year's resolutions?

Put my health first and take care of myself more than ever.
