A tragic accident forever changed the life of a teenage wedding couple. This occurred when 16-year-old Black Ward was swept away by the ocean current during a family outing in Wales, where the incident caused him to pass out. According to local media reports, the doctors who treated him determined that the boy had suffered irreparable brain damage.
The recommendation after the studies and given Ward's lack of recovery, was that they disconnect him from life support to avoid having him in a vegetable state. Given this, the young man's parents decided to agree to remove the machines that kept him alive. One of the most affected was his girlfriend Stephanie Ray, who at 15 years old was not prepared for such news.
"Today has been the most difficult day for me and it will be a day that I will never forget," Ray wrote on his Instagram account. As some know, Blake suffered a terrible accident on Tuesday. We were told that Blake would never recover and that his brain was damaged, and we had to make the difficult decision to turn off his machine and let him go."
The girlfriend accompanied the message with a tender photograph in which she was seen embracing the inert body of her partner; Furthermore, she made it clear that Blake had died painlessly, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
To his surprise, the image went viral and the boys' relatives ran a campaign on GoFoundMe to raise five thousand dollars that will be used to carry out the young man's farewell ceremony. In two days, 9,971 dollars were collected.
