In his statements after the impasse, the 60-year-old journalist said that the trigger for Maduro to end the interview and abruptly withdraw was when he showed him a video that he had taken on the streets of the Venezuelan capital and that showed a group of young people eating from a garbage truck.
"It is what I personally filmed last Sunday, very close to the Miraflores Palace. While I was showing those images to Nicolás Maduro, he said that the interview was over. He tried to close the iPad on which I had shown him these images and left the interview. He left, "revealed the renowned Univision communicator in his first impressions of what happened.
"I told him that leaving, not answering the questions the presidents did not do, the dictators did … he left and did not want to see the images that I was showing them. The images are there, the images are going to meet them in Everyone. We did not go looking for them, we found them while we were going to the coverage on Sunday, "Ramos added in his statements, in which he added that the video is a telling example of" the humanitarian crisis that Venezuela is experiencing."
