Pastor Kills His Family On Thanksgiving Day

The defendant is Christopher Gattis, 58. According to PEOPLE magazine, when authorities arrived at his home last Thursday they found the lifeless bodies of his wife Jeanett Gattis, their daughter Candice Kunze and that of her boyfriend, Andrew Buthorn. All died at gunpoint, the police assured the Associated Press agency.

With no criminal record, Gattis is being held in the Chesterfield County Jail under triple murder and, as the Rihmond Times-Dispatch publication points out, he does not yet have a defense attorney.

The alleged murderer worked as coordinator of young ministers at the institute for Grace Lutheran Church.
