Events such as the earthquake in Mexico implicitly bring death, pain, anguish and helplessness, among others. However, there are some irregularities that are caused because of the individuals themselves, either because of confusion or simply because they are not consoled by the misfortune of the other.

Thus, a series of actions have arisen that are not characteristic of the moment in which this country is living. Now there have been reports of people taking donations in kind: food, medicines, cleaning supplies, etc., to resell them elsewhere.

"Since no one knows who they are and where they are taking what is collected for the victims, it is very easy for them to disappear along the way," said some of the volunteers.

Even Geraldine Bazán, who from the first day has been supporting collection centers, requested, through her Instagram account, that the products they donate be marked with the word “donation”, so that this type of abuse can be avoided.

Others ask that the barcodes be removed or erased to prevent them from being diverted for another purpose.

On the other hand, an issue that has caused outrage to Mexicans is the attitude of the political parties, which have refused to donate part of their budget destined for electoral campaigns for the benefit of the victims.

That is an issue that will undoubtedly have to be defined by the political parties, but from the outset a legal reform would have to be made. Financing is formalized in the law limited to a specific purpose and not doing so would be diverting resources, said PRI senator Lilia Herrera to the Mexican media.

Given this, civil society and the media themselves are taking various actions to compel them to support the victims of this incident.
