The BCBG firm was one of the first to present its fall collection during New York Fashion Week.

Among the proposals offered by the brand, which was inspired by the eighties and the late singer David Bowie for that season, are wool and fur coats with bulging sleeves, as well as striking leggings with cutouts, tops with glitter, leather pieces and oversized sweaters.

The pieces, evoking the shapes and cuts of that decade, looked very elegant but at the same time practical and easy to use off the catwalk.

The models were made up with the line of the renowned fashionista Jay Manuel, who explained to us why such a natural look was chosen to complement the clothes of this show.

“It is my first time with BCBG, but I have always been a fan of the brand. The collection looks very modern, artistic and dramatic. So we wanted to create a look where the skin looked perfect. We are not using concealer or anything, just a liquid foundation that covers everything and does not look like a mask. It looks very natural,”says the creator of the makeup brand that bears his name. "We wanted to give the models that natural shine and that perfect look that is very much my brand."

To complement the makeup and the eclectic pieces, the Cuban stylist Orlando Pita chose to make a messy look.

“The inspiration is basically this girl who is an artist, is a dancer and her look is well structured, but her hair is the opposite. It is soft, with a little volume and very natural”, explains the expert, who used a foam, a dry fixative and a cream from TRESemmé's Beautiful Volume line. “In each girl I used two or three of these products. First I put the mousse to give them texture, then the dry fixer to finish I made some curls [with the curling iron]”.
