If you're anything like us, wading through the political happenings of this year has been DIFFICULT. And we think we're not alone in wishing our girl Hillary Clinton had been around more with some words of wisdom when we've needed it most, but luckily SHE'S BACK NOW, and we're feeling a little brighter and happier after watching Hillary Clinton's surprise kick-off video for the 2017 MAKERS conference. MAKERS bills itself as a "storytelling platform for the trailblazing women of today and tomorrow," which is definitely something we can get behind.

Also, this video ended the 'inspirational speech about being a woman from Hillary Clinton' drought, and for that, we're forever grateful

We could also use a little more inspiration to get through the day, lately.

UGHHHH. As always, HRC's words are giving us chills. We def teared up a little bit when she said:

Remember, you are the heroes and history makers, the glass ceiling breakers of the future. As I've said before, I'll say again, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world."

We also paid special attention to the part where Hillary Clinton encouraged strong women to speak out and lead, because that's sort of what we want from her, going forward. Y'know, Trump might be president, but now more than ever we need powerful women like Hillary Clinton to continue to stand up for us and help us fight the fight in the public eye.

"We need strong women to step up and speak out. We need you to dare greatly and lead boldly. So please, set an example for every woman and girl out there who's worried about what the future holds and wonders whether our rights, opportunities and values will endure."

We love that HRC still believes "the future is female," and we hope she's going to fight alongside us as we try to make sure this hope becomes a reality. We're also def keeping an eye on the MAKERS full schedule to see what else is on the horizon.
