To-may-to, to-mah-to. Let's admit it, the English language has its disputes- especially when it comes to pronunciation. Although spelled the same way, certain words are said differently from person to person. In result, we've seen arguments happen on the topic, whether it's on a popular television show like How I Met Your Mother, when the gang criticizes Ted for his pretentious pronunciation of encyclopedia or even in real life when you've judge someone over how they pronounced a word differently.
