A new hashtag is trending on Twitter for a fairytale with a new happily-ever-after.
Twitter users are joining forces to get the message across to Disney that they should introduce their first openly gay character in one of their films.
The campaigners are using the hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend in the hopes of getting the same-sex relationship to happen in the sequel of the popular Disney film, Frozen.
The hashtag was started by Alexis Isabel (@ lexi4prez) who tweeted the company asking them to consider the possibility of introducting a gay princess.
Many from the LGBT community feel they can identify with Elsa from Frozen because of her story. In the movie, the ice queen feels unaccepted because of her powers and hides in her castle until she finally accepts who she is and comes around to save her sister.
