How To Make Coquito For Christmas

Christmas is approaching and the time to share with the family is better if we can taste typical dishes and drinks from each country in meetings.

One of those typical drinks for Puerto Ricans is the delicious coquito, a sweet drink made from rum liquor that has become famous not only in Puerto Rico, but worldwide.

Although it is true that the traditional recipe for coquito is for many a family secret, or at least they put a special ingredient, the founder of Coquiten, Michelle Ten, visited our studios at People VIP to reveal her family recipe that includes the following:

1 cup of condensed milk

1 cup of evaporated milk

1 cup coconut cream

1 tablespoon of pure vanilla

1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder

2 - 3 egg yolks

1 cup of rum or liquor to your liking iÝÚé¾öÝöôå®} ï¾øï§ûÛžwï † Þ} Çõÿu

For the mixture you put all the ingredients in a container and stir them in the blender or with a mixer and that's it! To get all the flavors mixed and delight yourself with a well-concentrated coquito, it is preferable that you leave the mixture in a bottle in the fridge for 24 hours.
