On October 17, the streets of Culiacán became a pitched battle. A shooting broke through, unleashing panic among the locals. The Sinaloa Cartel took control of the area and drove each corner with its armed trucks from top to bottom.
The arrest of Ovidio Guzmán, the son of El Chapo Guzmán, made the organization threaten with greater force if the young man was not immediately released. A threat that was heard and that paid off.
The release of the young man, according to the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Alfonso Durazo, was really done with the aim of "saving lives." Now it is his other daughter, Rosa Isela, who has given his opinion of what happened and the arrest of her brother. She has done so in an interview with El Gordo y la Flaca where she puts everyone in their place and points to the real culprits.
Among other things, he assured that his brother has nothing to do with his father's business and that he spends his time working like the rest of the citizens. "He works the same as everyone," she said directly. "He is a good boy and has nothing to do with it," he continued.
To remove some tension from the matter, she dared to say "my brother is very handsome", referring to the photo of the arrest that reached the media and that, incredible but true, caused a sensation among the women due to his physique.
It was time to get a little more serious. Why did they defend him tooth and nail? "Because they love my dad very much," he said clearly. “When Culiacán is flooded or when the rancherías are flooded, when people need them, they are the ones who go and support. I understand that with mattresses, with clothes, with things and they have always helped… so they are not bad, rather they should lock up thieves there in Culiacán,”he said openly.
Rosa is one of the 22 children that El Chapo has. Being "daughter of" has earned her a lot of criticism but as she herself points out, she doesn't care much because they always have.
