Princess Diana fans will be glad to know that she will be one of the characters in the new season of The Crown. Actress Emma Corrin will play the late mother of Princes William and Harry in the popular Netflix series. Recording scenes from the story last week dressed as Diana of Wales, Emma Corrin surprised everyone with her strong resemblance to the beloved princess. In addition to wearing her hair (which is usually brown) dyed the same blonde and with the same cut Diana used when she began her relationship with Prince Charles, Corrin wore identical clothing to that worn by the glamorous Diana. Without a doubt, her physical features are also similar, with clear eyes, nose and lips that recall the classic beauty of Diana.

While filming scenes from the series in Malaga, 23-year-old Corrin wore a dress resembling Diana's elegant white polka dot pink design. Actor Josh O'Connor plays Prince Charles in his youth, when he fell in love with the deceased mother of his children. The series shows the former couple traveling to Australia with their son, Prince William, when she was a 9-month-old baby.

Announcing in April that the British actress would take on the iconic character of Princess Diana, Corrin said in a press release: “I am more than excited and honored to join The Crown in its fourth season. I've been stuck watching the show from the first episode and it's surreal to think that now it will be part of this incredible family of actors."

The young actress also showed her admiration for the famous woman who inspired her character. “Princess Diana was an icon and her impact on the world is very deep and inspiring. Being able to have the privilege of exploring it through the script by Peter Morgan is an exceptional opportunity and I will do my best to do it justice.”
