Women suffering from sexual desire will already be able to enjoy a more active intimate life thanks to the approval of the so-called female viagra.
According to reports, the United States Food and Drug Administration, FDA, this week approved a new treatment for women suffering from loss of sexual appetite.
Contrary to the "blue pill" used by men, this medicine, called Vyleesi, must be injected at least 45 minutes before sexual activity for the desired effect to appear.
The treatment is aimed above all at women in the premenopausal stage and, according to the agency, helps with distress and emotional disorders caused by lack of sexual desire.

But as with all medications, there are also side effects that include nausea, vomiting, headache, and redness of the skin at the injection site.
The agency warned that there are limitations to the use of the treatment, since it should not be used in patients with high blood pressure or with cardiovascular problems.
This is the second treatment of its kind to be launched in the United States, after the so-called "female viagra", which hit the market in 2015 and which had to be taken daily, increasing the levels of synthetic hormone in the body.
According to experts, for the past ten years, Americans have been having less sex and attribute it to a desire disorder in women, which could be affected by stress, depression and other hormonal disorders.
