Natalie Kunicki suffered a stroke after cracking her neck while stretching. The 23-year-old paramedic, who lives in London, accidentally broke an artery in her neck. According to Daily Mail reports, the young woman was watching movies in bed with a friend after both returned from a night out. It was then that Natalie stretched and cracked her neck, hearing a crack sound. About 15 minutes later the young woman got up to go to the bathroom and collapsed on the floor. Then she realized that she could not move her left leg but did not call the paramedics because she did not want her colleagues to see her "dizzy".

The young woman confesses that she did not think it was a stroke but she should have been more cautious and asked for help sooner. When the ambulance arrived, he took her to University College London Hospital, where she underwent a three-hour surgery. Doctors informed him that a vertebral artery had ruptured.

"The doctors later told me that breaking my neck had caused my vertebral artery to rupture," Kunicki said. "It is spontaneous and there is a one in a million chance of that happening." The rupture of the artery in her neck formed a blood clot in the young woman's brain and caused a stroke. The young woman is still undergoing treatment and has recovered little by little, recovering some movements. "People have to know that even if you are young, something simple can cause a stroke," he emphasized.
