Angelica Rivera Defends Herself

After the scandal that sparked the alleged purchase of a new "White House" in Los Angeles, the former first lady of Mexico, Angélica Rivera, was forced to clear up the rumors.

The former actress resorted to social networks to explain the situation, assuring that she is not the owner of the property and that she made it clear that it is a rental house.

“The information that [was] given is false, the house they mention is rented by the father of my daughters, for their study and work activities. I deeply regret this false and unsupported information that the only thing it causes is misinformation to public opinion,”he wrote on his instagram account.

His reaction comes after a Mexican entertainment magazine showed the property in an exclusive area of Los Angeles, California and international media reported on the alleged new multi-million dollar acquisition of the wife of former Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto..

It should be remembered that Rivera was involved in a scandal that went around the world in 2014, after showing her luxurious white mansion valued at around seven million dollars back then. This property caused outrage among the Mexican people after it became known that the purchase was linked to companies to which Peña Nieto would have approved millionaire contracts. Rivera denied the accusations, assuring that the purchase was made with her salary obtained for her work as an actress at the Televisa company.

Rivera is the mother of three daughters, Sofia, Regina and Fernanda, the fruit of her relationship with producer José Alberto 'El Güero' Castro.
