After the video where an Ohio father punishes his daughter for bullying went viral last week, he defends himself from criticism and says he does not regret having taught her a lesson.

Last week, Matt Cox posted a video showing his 10-year-old daughter walking, explaining that he forced her to walk to school after being suspended from riding the school bus for the second time, after obstructing the passage of another student.

In the video, Cox, 39, said that bullying is "unacceptable, especially at home."

"Last Friday [when] my daughter brought the notice of her suspension she said, 'Dad, you're going to have to take me to school next week.' As you can see this morning, she is learning differently. Many children today feel that the things their parents do for them is a right and not a privilege, like taking them to school in the morning, or taking the bus to school in the morning. This is all a privilege and should be treated as such,”Coxx said in the video.

Although she received the applause of many parents, the criticism and accusations of some experts were immediate, assuring that Coxx publicly humiliated her daughter.

“The Internet is not forgiving and she will watch [the video] over and over again. It is like salt in an emotional wound that will take time to heal,”an expert told ABC News.

But Coxx remains steadfast and has no regrets about her decision, responding to negative comments on her Facebook account.

“Holding my daughter responsible for her actions and punishing her for it doesn't mean I'm a bully. It means that I am being a father, a father trying to teach her daughter that life has consequences for our actions and that we must be responsible for them. I am a dad trying to teach his daughter that it is not okay to be mean to others because words and actions can have a lifelong effect. I am a father trying to teach his daughter that not everything is a right, that there are many privileges in life and that we should be grateful for them,”he wrote.

Coxx explained that he posted the video on his Facebook account to send a message to his family and friends.

"Just because we love our children and would do everything for them, does not mean that we should ignore their actions," he said.

He also explained that although in the video he assured that his daughter would walk five miles to reach his school, he confirmed that he did not do it in one day, but instead divided them into the three days that the suspension lasted, adding that his daughter learned the lesson.
