Fortune magazine recently revealed which are the top 100 companies to work for if you're a millennial. People belonging to this generation were born between 1980 and the early 2000s. The list includes major financial, communications, hospitality and technology companies, among other areas of special interest to young people.
The study reveals the companies that have the highest percentage of millennials among their employees. Among the companies mentioned are the Hyatt and Hilton hotel chains, The Cheesecake Factory restaurants, and Publix supermarkets.
Financial companies such as Capital One and American Express also appear. Communication giants like Comcast NBC Universal are listed. Telecommunications is another area that predominates, with companies like T-Mobile. Other popular companies that employ large numbers of millennials, according to the study, are: FedEx, CarMax and Cisco.
To conduct the study, Fortune worked with Great Place to Work to find the best employers for young professionals who were born between 1981 and 1997. Millennials have become known for being a dynamic and versatile generation that is not afraid of the new, and she is willing to change jobs frequently to grow.
According to Forbes magazine, millennials hold 20 percent of all leadership positions, and that number is increasing rapidly. This generation has more and more work experience and is becoming a powerhouse.
