When he was just 9 years old, the Colombian José Richard Gallego was deaf, six years later he lost his sight due to a condition called Usher syndrome. Despite not being able to see or hear, this 36-year-old from Bogotá has never stopped living his love for soccer.

Through a board and a touch language created with the help of his friend César Daza, José Richard can enjoy all the emotion that is experienced on the playing field without missing any detail.

His emotional story came to the radar of the leaders of La Liga and FC Barcelona, who did not hesitate to make them an invitation that was impossible to deny: Attend a game by the Catalan team at the legendary Camp Nou.

“I never imagined that I would be at the Camp Nou. It is incredible to have seen it through the eyes of César, to feel the lights and the warmth of the people is something spectacular,”said excited Gallego, who traveled with his inseparable friend thousands of kilometers from his native Bogotá to make this dream come true.

But the surprise prepared by Barcelona and La Liga would not end there, since the two fans also had the luxury of sharing with two idols from their hometown, defenders Yerry Mina and Andrés Mojica.

Of course, goals were not involved during his visit to the legendary home of Lionel Messi. The final result 6 -1 in favor of the local team and two coffee growers who will never forget their visit to Spain.

"We traveled from Colombia and we hope to share our message of peace and harmony," said César. There is no doubt that these two friends are total proof that sport is in the heart.
