The image of two paramedics, one Jewish and the other Muslim, in Israel who stop for a few moments to pray in the midst of hard work for the health crisis has traveled the world

Abraham Mintz, 43, is Jewish while Zoher Abu Jama, 39, is Arab and Muslim. According to The New York Times, the photo was taken in the city of Beersheba, in southern Israel.

"The whole world is fighting this. This is a disease that makes no difference between anyone, no religion, no gender. But leave that aside. We work together, we live together. This is our life," Abu Jama told the newspaper. U. S.

In the photo, Mintz wrapped himself in his prayer shawl and turned north toward Jerusalem, while Abu Jama unfolded his prayer mat and knelt facing south toward Mecca.

Mintz and Abu Jama are members of Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's emergency response service, and work together two to three times a week. The photo was taken and posted by a co-worker, CNN reported.

Through its Twitter account, the MDA positively and proudly valued the photography of the two members of its team, highlighting that it is a source of inspiration for people around the world during "this difficult time."

In Israel there are 3,035 positive cases of coronavirus - 49 in serious condition and 79 recovered - and there have been 12 deaths, according to figures published this Friday by the Haaretz newspaper.
