Michelle Obama says her team will help Melania Trump succeed in her new position in the White House. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey in her current home, the First Lady of the United States revealed how she will help Donald Trump's wife in her transition.

"[I] said to Melania, 'You don't really know what you don't know until you get here, the door is open,'" the first lady told Winfrey. “I am not a pioneer in this. I am simply replicating what the Bush family did to me.”

Obama explained that just as Laura Bush and her team supported her in the eight years in the White House, she will help Mrs. Trump.

“We will do whatever they need to help them succeed. It was one of the things I said to Melania: 'When you get to a time when you say all this and have questions […] my door is open.'

Regarding an aspiration for the presidency in the future, Malia and Sasha's mother made it clear that the subject is delicate and "if I were interested, I would say so."

While Obama will leave his position in the White House, she is hopeful of a new future for her family at one stage in a new home.
