As he finishes settling in Canada, Prince Harry spoke for the first time about his decision to quit his full-time role within the British royalty who saw him born and assured that he has no regrets having taken that step.
At his first public event with his wife, Meghan Markle, the young prince accepted that although it has not been an easy decision, all he wants is to ensure the well-being of his family.
"He does not regret his decision to leave office because he wants to protect his family," a source assured the New York Post.
During the couple's private event, Prince Harry compared his life to that of having his son away from the spotlight; He also emphasized the profound impact that the death of his mother, Princess Diana, has had on his life.
"He does not want Meghan and her son Archie to go through what he [happened] as a child," said a source present at the event in Miami. "Harry talked about mental health and how he has had to take therapy for the past few years to try to overcome the trauma of losing his mom."
According to the source, the prince mentioned how some situations from his childhood have affected him, so he has had to ask for professional help.
During the event, Markle also took the microphone to address the audience and candidly spoke about her love for her husband. The couple apparently traveled from Canada to South Florida to attend the event and stayed at the tennis player Serena Williams' mansion in Palm Beach.
