If they told Yalitza Aparicio a year ago that he would be touring the most prestigious red carpets in the world and starring on the covers of the most sought-after fashion magazines on the planet, you probably couldn't believe it. But no one doubts anymore that this has been the year of the Mexican woman who has made history and a marked trend. But what have you learned about style in these months? We talked to the protagonist of Rome about fashion, trends and much more.
In this sudden hurricane of events, galas, awards and commitments, the Mexican was not alone, she had the invaluable help of stylist Sophie López, who also helps actresses such as Kate Hudso n and Joey King (The Kissing Booth) with her wardrobe and helped her find what works best for her. “It was incredible to work with her. She approached us and offered to help us and I was delighted with life because I personally don't know anything about fashion, I am walking around with pants and boots”.
The actress, who adorns the cover of People en Español's 50 Most Beautiful, remembers how López has taught her to dare to play with all kinds of colors and styles that she would not have imagined before and also confidently recognizes that she has not had great Referents of style until now because the fashion images that he saw on television and magazines were too distant.
"I do not feel that I represent a whole community, I think I represent the diversity that exists throughout the world, not only in Mexico," he adds.
And in terms of beauty? One of the keys to maintaining that mane is that she does not brush her hair, but the most important thing for her is to work in the self-confidence that she has had a hard time learning and is now very clear about.
"In each event I try to be safe and I say to myself" well, if I am here it is because I have shown myself as I am and nothing can happen anymore because people know how I am ", she admits. "I love my skin color and everything in me is perfect for me."
