After the controversy that starred this past summer Queen Letizia and her mother-in-law, Doña Sofía, thanks to a video in which the queen seemed to prevent photographers from taking a photo with her grandmother, the detail that the king's wife has had Felipe IV when choosing his latest look seems to dispel any rumor that he has a bad relationship with his mother-in-law.
The occasion was the delivery of the National Fashion Industry Awards held last night in Madrid where Doña Letizia was presented with a red two-piece set with a high neck blouse, puffed sleeves and a matching skirt below the knee. And what made the outfit so special?
It is a very, very special vintage piece. Back in 1980, when Queen Letizia of Spain was only 8 years old, the then Queen of Spain, Doña Sofía, wore this same red silk outfit on an official visit to Denmark.

Leaving the pearls and the hat-headdress aside, Doña Letizia gave a more casual air to the dress, combining it with a reptile skin clutch, suede heels and discreet earrings that also had a red color detail. Loose, wavy hair also helped give the look a casual touch.
