Last night kicked off the most important week in Dominican fashion, Dominicana Moda, and we were truly surprised with the incredible talent that Dominican designers have. With the presence of the local press and dozens of international media, the night began with the designer José Jhan's show, one of Juan Luis Guerra's favorites, with a fresh and highly avant-garde proposal for modern men. But undoubtedly one of the most anticipated parades was that of Giannina Azar, who carried out a spectacular stage that transported us to a real jungle.

The designer, who has become a favorite of artists such as Thalía, Jennifer López and Natti Natasha, presented her collection The Jungle by Giannina Azar, a proposal a little different from her previous collections, yes, without leaving behind the daring and elaborate costumes that characterize it.

On the catwalk we saw dresses with tropical patterns with layers and openings, mini dresses with flares and transparencies, and other pieces with layers, some of them designed by her daughter Gabriela Álvarez.

But the most anticipated designs of the night were the embroidered suits in sequins, beads and Swarovski crystals, with transparencies and super-tight to the body that are the favorites of the famous and that we will surely see some of the most important finery in the industry very soon. Of course, apart from its incredible designs, what most excited the public was the presence of the singer Natti Natasha, who closed the parade with a striking purple piece with applications and fringes, and spectacular boots of the same color, also lined in sequins and eclairs.
