Actress Halle Berry and designer Christian Louboutin have joined the Saks Fifth Avenue department store for a good cause. The creative alliance will collaborate in the Key to Cure campaign together with the organizations Stand Up to Cancer and Entertainment Industry Foundation.
It is the eighteenth year that the chain of stores has carried out this charity campaign that raises funds to fight cancer.
This year the actress of Catwoman is the ambassador of the campaign, in which she wears a limited edition t-shirt created by the famous shoe designer that will be available from October 1 by nickel. "I hope that everyone will join me in supporting this cause and buying the shirt."
For his part, the designer commented “I am very happy to work with Saks in support of this important cause and to help people affected by cancer. It is my mission to help women feel beautiful and I hope this shirt empowers those who wear it.
Other designers who have collaborated with their shirts in previous years have been Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Diane Von Furstenberg and Michael Kors among others, but it is the first time they have chosen an accessory designer.
Since the campaign was created eighteen years ago, it has raised nearly $ 40 million for cancer research and treatment-providing organizations in the United States, Saks Fifth Avenue President Marc Metrick said.
