Jennifer López always surprises her followers with her changes of look and to personify detective Harlee Santos in her new television series Shades of Blue, the Puerto Rican actress opted for a fresh and casual hair style.
We spoke with her head stylist and the manager of her hair in the series, the Cuban Juan Carlos Maciques, who told us step by step what he does to achieve the flirty curls that the actress and singer will be wearing in the show that premieres on next January 7 on NBC.
Prepare your mane

To create waves with a careless look like the ones that the character who plays the Nuyorican looks, Maciques uses a diffuser and avoids using his hands so that the hair does not frizz.

Create the waves
The pincer is the companion of Maciques, who warns that it must be used with care to avoid burns or, otherwise, that you invest in thermal gloves.
"Run your fingers through your hair and sporadically create curls, alternating the direction towards your face and away from it. This will keep the look disheveled and carefree, "he explains. Keep your hair in the curling iron just for seconds to avoid a perfect look. The idea is to follow the hair's natural wave, so focus on what the hair is doing naturally.
