With her characteristic platinum mane and smoky eye makeup, designer Donatella Versace has become the star of a fashion campaign. Curiously, it does not pose for its own brand, but for the Givenchy firm.
Riccardo Tisci, creative director of the French house, is known for having numerous celebrities among his friends, such as the members of the Kardashian clan, Madonna or Julia Roberts, who have starred in other advertising campaigns for him.
The designer shared a black and white image in which he appears in profile with Donatella and this message: "Very proud and honored to present my latest icon: Donatella Versace … Fall / Winter 2015 Givenchy Family Campaign", implying that the Italian has been his muse for next season.
According to the snapshot, the images were taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, known for photographing other top-brand campaigns, among which is also Versace.
Donatella also published the photograph and dedicated her words to her friend: “For my talented friend Riccardo Tisci. Together we break barriers in the fashion world!”
