Kate Middleton has recovered all its glamor!

The Duchess of Cambridge shined her own light on Thursday night when she attended a gala, marking her first official night out since she gave birth to Prince George.

SPECIAL: All about the Royal Baby

Fabulous in a sequined Jenny Packham outfit, the 31-year-old princess accompanied her husband, Prince William, to the first installment of the Tusk Conservation Awards, during which Princess Diana's eldest son recognized the work of two conservationists in Africa.

The Tusk charity, whose goal is to ensure peaceful coexistence between African wildlife and its people, organized these awards to recognize "great achievements in the area of African (species) conservation."

"As you may have heard, recently Catherine and I became parents to a child who has a voice that can be compared to the roar of a lion," the proud 31-year-old father joked.

"This is our first night out without him, so please excuse us if you see us checking our cell phones to make sure everything is fine at home," he said.

Meanwhile, Kate - who complemented her dress with Jimmy Choo sandals and a diamond bracelet that, it is said, was a wedding gift from her father-in-law, Prince Charles - told one of those present that her seven-week-old and media "is a mixture of both".

The couple said they left the baby at home, in the care of their nanny, Jessie Webb, 71, who more than 20 years ago was the babysitter for William and her brother, Harry, and is now taking care of the new Royal Baby.

This reception was held after Buckingham Palace confirmed that William will leave the Royal Air Force to spend more time with his family and take on other public duties.
