One of the most anticipated soap operas of 2020 is, without a doubt, the new version of Rubí.

The successful story that Bárbara Mori, together with Sebastián Rulli and Eduardo Santamarina, led in 2004 returns to Univision screens next year with a new version in serial format that promises to conquer the public again, as the plot starring Uruguayan actress. And, to everyone's surprise, its premiere is closer than previously thought.

The Spanish-speaking network began promoting last night, during the end of Cuna de lobos, the imminent arrival in Hispanic prime time of this new fiction that Camila Sodi is leading in the skin of the ambitious Rubí and whose stars are José Ron and Argentine Rodrigo Guirao.

"Ambition becomes a woman arrives … Brazen, irresistible," announces Univision in this first promotional video for the soap opera in which the release date has not yet been revealed.

Rubí revolves around a young journalist named Camila (Ela Velden) who convinces Rubí (Sodi), a mysterious woman who lives in seclusion in a dark mansion, to tell the story of her life and why she isolated herself from the outside world at will. own.

He learns then that she was an ambitious woman of humble origin determined to use her stunning beauty and feminine wiles to escape poverty without caring if she harmed innocent people to do so.

The fiction also has the participation of the charismatic Mexican presenter Alejandra Espinoza, who gives life to Sonia, a character that 15 years ago was played by Marlene Favela.

The new version of Rubí is part of Fábrica de Sueños, Televisa's ambitious project that updates some of the most successful soap operas of the last decades in serial dramas made in 25-episode formats with the highest production values.

The fiction will premiere next year in primetime on Univision.
