Inclusivity is not only fashionable but it is mandatory. Gone are the days when campaign models were the same size and color, the industry demands that all body types be represented. Also those with a disability, as in the last Aerie campaign, or people with reduced mobility.
That is precisely what the online fashion chain Asos has done, with the launch of a waterproof sports suit specially designed for people in wheelchairs, although anyone can wear it. The tracksuit is the result of a collaboration with Paralympic athlete Chloe Ball Hopkins, who came up with the idea after soaking up the rain at a music festival in England.
“For the past few months I have been working with Asos to create an all-in-one that is practical, waterproof and beautiful. Not just for people in wheelchairs, for anyone. It's about making fashion accessible. What will be next?”, Wrote the athlete on her Twitter account.
The tracksuit is a two-piece in pastel colors and you can get it from Asos for $ 64.
