Pierce Brosnan will attend the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival (HRIFF) on Friday night in support of his wife Keely Shay Brosnan 's new documentary Poisoning Paradise, which she co-directed with attorney and film producer Teresa Tico. Pierce also took part in the making of the film as executive producer alongside Academy Award nominated composer Marco Beltrami who completed it's original score.
The documentary takes a deeper look into the world of native Hawaiians, who are living in environmental danger due to the large-scale pesticide usage in Hawaii. It explores “what's at stake for Hawaii from local activists, scientific experts and healthcare professionals as they expose the effects of environmental injustice on a local population,” said Keely.
The HRIFF Award Ceremony will take place at LA LIVE / Staples Center.
