Girls and women of every generation can be role models and position themselves as leaders, said Andrea Bastiani Archibald, Chief Girl and Parent Expert at Girl Scouts of the USA; and Vicki Ariyasu, Vice President of Education and Social Responsibility at Disney Junior, during People en Español's 'Poderosas Live' event.
Leadership can be a scary notion to some but with role models like Disney's first Latina princess, Elena of Avalor, girls can be inspired, take action and develop their leadership skills, added Ariyasu, the Girl Scouts also aims to “build girls of courage, confidence, character who make the world a better place.”
