A couple from Orlando were waiting for some storage cubes that they had ordered from Amazon and when they were opened they took the surprise of their lives, because they came full of marijuana.
As reported by EFE, upon receiving the shipment, the couple was surprised due to the weight, but initially did not pay attention to that detail. However, when they removed the wrapper, they almost fell on their backs: 65 pounds of marijuana came inside, placed in the four storage containers they had purchased.
Another detail that they could not ignore was the strong smell that came out of those containers when they were opened.
The couple, who for security reasons did not want to reveal his name, immediately contacted the police, who seized the drug and opened an investigation, according to police sources.
For its part, the virtual super store has not clarified what happened, but it did extend a scam card to its frightened customers, since they assure that the experience has filled them with fear: “We were still quite afraid that our house could be robbed, and we didn't sleep there for a few days."
In a statement, Amazon said its customer service team worked directly with these customers to address their concerns, as it "will work with the police to investigate the case as necessary."
Meanwhile, the police are investigating the warehouse where this order came from, which is located in Massachusetts.
