Being famous definitely has its perks - like being able to use your platform for the greater good and receiving swanky gift bags at fancy events (to name just TWO). However, the whole no privacy thing admittedly would be super hard for most of us.
Speaking of which, singer Camila Cabello revealed why she won't talk about love - at least not publicly - in the latest issue of Latina magazine, and we totally get where she's coming from. Cabello started off in the music industry at 15 with Fifth Harmony (time flies!), And in her solo career she's just trying to keep things balanced and ensure that her personal priorities are met.
In the interview, Cabello admits that love is “the most important thing” to her in the world; she grew up listening to ballads and reading romantic novels, and in her own relationships, she's a hopeless romantic and passionate lover. "I get why people are interested in my love life, but I don't want to give people that piece of me because it is the most important part," she explains.
And to that, we say RESPECT. Everyone has to maintain some level of privacy in order to stay grounded, and love is just about the most intimate and personal thing there is. At the end of the day, Cabello's love life is nobody else's business but her own.
She went on to reveal her ideal future, and it sounds like bliss
“Here's my dream life: I want to make songs and have incredible experiences with people. I don't want to be locked up in a hotel room and just do press and red carpets. That's not the kind of life I want to live. I want to make music, but I also want to go on road trips with friends. I want to go backpacking around Europe. I want to meet a Spanish boy in Spain and fall in love.”
We can imagine that achieving this anonymity would be tricky when 9.5 million people are following Cabello on Instagram, but hopefully her fans are respectful enough to give her space when she needs it.
Wishing Cabello the very best of luck as she moves forward with her career! She's been testing the acting waters and working on a track for the upcoming The Fate of the Furious. Sky's the limit, girl!
